iOptron USB to RS232 Adapter Plug: USB-to-Serial Adapter with FTDI Chipset

This adapter provides laptops without a serial port with a reliable RS232 connection to your iOptron mount or hand controller. The FTDI chipset is known for stable drivers under Windows and macOS, without the connection issues of nameless clone chips.

The adapter works with USB 1.0 and 2.0 and also fits in USB 3.0 ports. Tested with iOptron equipment, so no surprises with firmware updates.

Why FTDI counts

During a firmware update, the connection must not falter: an interrupted update can render a manual control unusable. A tested FTDI adapter is therefore not a luxury, but insurance.
