Maintenance-free Maksutov optics
The closed design keeps the optics clean and collimation is rarely needed. With the 26mm eyepiece, you view at 73x; consider approximately 254x as the maximum (f/15). Allow for 30 to 45 minutes of cool-down time for the sharpest image.
Which mount fits this?
The Bresser EXOS-1/EQ-4 mount with tripod (€379) carries this tube well visually; the Bresser EXOS-2/EQ-5 mount on a tripod (€539) provides extra stability at maximum magnification. The tube also performs well on a sturdy azimuthal mount with a Vixen clamp.
