The Bresser AC 152/1200 Messier OTA is the largest long refractor in the product line. A six-inch aperture with f/7.9 delivers the image that lens enthusiasts are looking for: pin-sharp stars, high contrast on planets, and impressive double stars.
Six inch achromatic
The 152 mm lens captures approximately 472 times more light than the naked eye. With the 26 mm eyepiece, you observe at 46x; consider about 300x as the maximum. At f/7.9, a slight color fringing is visible on the brightest objects; on everything below that, this tube shows the classic refractor image at its best.
Which mount fits this?
This is a serious 1.2-meter tube: the Bresser EXOS-2/EQ-5 mount on tripod (€539) is the absolute minimum, the Bresser EXOS-2 EQ GoTo mount (€998) the recommended base, especially for photography via the T2 adapter. Thanks to the Vixen-Style dovetail, the tube fits on any mount with a standard Vixen clamp.
