The Bresser AC 90/500 Messier OTA is a compact wide-field telescope for your own mount. With f/5.6 you capture open star clusters, the Milky Way, and large nebulae in a single view, and during the day it is also an excellent nature viewer.

Fast achromatic lens for overview

The 90 mm lens gathers about 165 times more light than the naked eye. With the 26 mm eyepiece, you get a 19x magnification with a wide field of view. Honest advice: with this fast two-lens design, a blue tint is visible on bright objects at high magnification; this is a wide-field telescope, not a planetary specialist.

Which mount fits this?

This light, short optical tube sits comfortably on virtually everything: the Bresser EXOS-1/EQ-4 mount with tripod (379 euros) is spacious, and a sturdy altazimuth mount or photo tripod with a Vixen clamp will also suffice. Via the Vixen-style dovetail, the tube fits on any mount with a standard Vixen clamp.
