Oklop: a bag that fits your telescope precisely
Oklop makes padded carrying cases tailored to each telescope size, rather than in three universal sizes. That’s what sets them apart from a regular sports bag: the tube is securely held in place, the padding absorbs shocks, and the focuser doesn’t bump against anything. We recommend Oklop with every telescope we ship, and it’s the only merk we recommend besides the telescope merk itself.
Choose on your telescope
Newton and Dobson: cups per tube size, such as the Newtonian 200/1200 for an 8-inch Dobson, the Newton 250/1000 and the Newton 300/1200. Refractor: the 100/900 refractor and 120/600 refractor. Smart telescope: the bag for the Seestar S50. Schmidt-Cassegrain and Maksutov: the bag for Celestron SC 11 inch and the Maksutov 180. If your model is not listed, send us the tube diameter and length; we will find the appropriate size.
Assembly and tripods
A mount is heavier and more vulnerable than the tube. Oklop has bags for the Sky-Watcher EQ6-R, the EQ5, HEQ5 and AZ-EQ5, the EQ3 and the Star Adventurer Pro, plus a separate bag for the EQ6 tripod. Which mount you have or need: tripods and mounts explained.
Small items
Eyepieces and filters go in the eyepiece and accessory bag; who wants a small telescope on their back, chooses the padded backpack. All bags are also with the carrier bags.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Newton 200/1200 mount also fit a Skyliner 200P? Yes, the tube of the Skyliner 200P Classic and the Omegon Advanced X 203 are the same size.
Can a bag be checked in as hold luggage? A padded bag protects against impacts, not against rough baggage handling. For air travel, we recommend a hard suitcase with the Oklop bag inside.
