A Dobson often comes with the car, and after a few drives, the alignment of the mirrors no longer works properly. The Celestron StarSense Explorer 8 and 10 inch have a Newton tube that you have to collimate from time to time. With these adjustment screws for the StarSense Explorer from Bob’s Knobs, you do it with your fingers instead of with a screwdriver or a Phillips screwdriver.
The buttons replace the original adjustment screws. The set is intended for the 8 and 10 inch versions of this model. Classic Dobson telescopes. So check whether you have one of these two models.
Replace the screws one by one so that the mirror stays in place. Then set the collimation in a few minutes using a collimation cap or a Bresser laser collimator. Just rotate a small bit at a time. How to do that step by step, you can read in our explanation about collimation.
