The 60 mm objective lens captures enough light to view lunar craters, Jupiter’s disk, and Saturn’s rings. The 700 mm focal length (f/11.7) provides a steady, high-contrast image with excellent sharpness and makes focusing forgiving. A magnification of up to about 120x is realistically practical.

Also for daytime

The 12.5 mm and 20 mm eyepieces offer different magnifications, and the 90-degree star diagonal and erecting lens provide an upright image. This is how you also use the Viking 60 AZ for birds, landscapes, or distant buildings. The steel tripod keeps the image stable and the telescope is ready within minutes.
