Omegon Advanced 150/750 EQ-320: maximum light on the EQ-320

The Omegon Advanced 150/750 EQ-320 combines the 150mm parabolic mirror, over 450 times more light than the naked eye, with the EQ-320 mount with fine adjustment. More than enough for the rings of Saturn and the cloud bands of Jupiter, and the key to galaxies, globular clusters, and nebulae.

A Newtonian reflector works with mirrors instead of lenses: large aperture for little money and a color-aberration-free image. Occasional collimation (aligning mirrors) is part of it; that can be done in a few minutes.

Omegon Advanced 150/750 with eyepieces and red dot finder

150 mm parabolic: deep-sky is a full contender

With the 25 mm and 10 mm eyepieces, you observe at 30x and 75x. The f/5 optics require precise collimation and reward it with pin-sharp stars all the way to the edge. The practical maximum is around 300x: plenty of room for growth with additional eyepieces.

The EQ-320 with fine adjustment carries the heavy tube calmly and follows smoothly on both axes.

Included

Featured accessories

The Omegon laser collimator (€44.90) keeps the mirrors aligned; every Newton should have one in the drawer. An Omegon moon filter 13 percent (€27.90) dims the very bright Moon of this aperture. The Omegon UWA 6mm eyepiece (€59) provides 125x magnification with a wide-field view, and the Omegon 2x Barlow lens (€34.90) doubles the magnification of the included eyepieces.

Never look at the sun through a telescope without a certified solar filter: this will cause permanent eye damage within a second.

For whom yes, for whom no

For those who want to combine 150mm deep-sky performance with a stable, reliable mount. Not for those who are purely visual observers and are looking for maximum aperture per euro; for this price, the Advanced X 203 Dobson is ready on the Dobson page. Compare via the Choice assistant.
