The Bresser Messier 203/1000 Hexafoc EXOS-2 brings full-fledged 8-inch performance to the equatorial mount. Galaxies, nebulae, and fine planetary details come within reach, and the included objective solar filter also enables safe solar observation.
8-inch optics with Hexafoc
The 203 mm parabolic mirror captures over 800 times more light than the naked eye. With a 1000 mm focal length (f/5), the included 26 mm Super Plössl eyepiece gives you 38x magnification; consider approximately 406x as the maximum. The 2.5-inch Hexafoc focuser supports heavy 2-inch eyepieces and camera equipment without sagging. Only use the solar filter if it is undamaged and never look at the sun without certified protection.
The EXOS-2 mount
The EXOS-2 is a German equatorial mount of the EQ-5 class with a payload capacity of up to 13 kg. With the polar finder scope, you can align quickly, and with the slow-motion cables, you can track objects smoothly. If you want automatic tracking later, the mount can be expanded with a motor set or the complete StarTracker GoTo system.
