The classic among GoTo telescopes
The Celestron NexStar SE Series has been an icon among amateur astronomers for years. These fully automated GoTo telescopes combine powerful optics with smart technology and a compact, portable design. Whether you choose the 4SE, 5SE, 6SE or 8SE, each model offers the usability and reliability that Celestron has made famous.
At the touch of a button, the NexStar+ hand controller over 40,000 celestial objects to life: from the moon and planets to star clusters and nebulae. Thanks to SkyAlign technology alignment is child's play - just aim at three bright stars and the telescope does the rest.

Bright optics with StarBright XLT coating
Each NexStar SE features Celestrons Schmidt-Cassegrain optical system, known for its high light output, color neutrality and sharp image quality. The StarBright XLT coating maximizes light transmission and provides high-contrast images even at lower magnifications.
The 8SE is the flagship of the series, with a opening of 203 mm (8”) and 1.5× more light output than the 6SE. With it, you reveal details on Jupiter, Saturn and Mars that remain invisible with smaller telescopes, and get impressive images of deep-sky objects such as the Orion Nebula (M42) and globular cluster M13.
The 6SE offers a perfect balance of brightness and portability, while the 4SE and 5SE are particularly compact and excel in quick set-up and ease of use.

Fully automated GoTo system
The NexStar SE mount is a stable alt-azimuth GoTo mount with powerful motors and high positioning accuracy. The telescope automatically tracks objects as they move through the sky, allowing you to observe comfortably for extended periods of time.
The hand controller not only provides access to thousands of objects, but also features such as SkyTour (for automatically selected tours of sky highlights) and Cordwrap Protection to prevent cable entanglement.
For added convenience, you can expand the telescope with the Celestron SkyPortal WiFi module, so you control the telescope via smartphone or tablet with the intuitive app.

Compact, sturdy and easy to carry
The NexStar SE series was designed with mobility in mind. The fork mount and tube are accessible via a quick-release system easily detachable and fit effortlessly into a bag or suitcase. With a total weight of only 10-15 kg (depending on model) you take it easily to dark observing locations.
The steel tripod with accessory tray provides stability and ample space for eyepieces, filters and adapters.

Visual or astrophotography? Why not both!
The NexStar SE series is suitable for both visual observation as basic astrophotography. The telescopes come with a 1.25″ zenith mirror and 25 mm eyepiece, with which you can instantly get the moon and planets in sharp focus.
Want to take pictures? Replace the eyepiece with a Celestron T-adapter and connect a DSLR or planetary camera for detailed shots of Jupiter, Saturn or the moon. Add a 2× Barlow lens add for additional magnification or a solar filter for safe observation of sunspots and solar eclipses.

Endless expansion possibilities
Celestron offers a wide ecosystem of accessories for the NexStar SE series. From motorfocusers and StarSense AutoAlign to heating rings and filter sets - your system grows with your experience. The telescope is also compatible with Celestrons CPWI software, with which you perform advanced alignment and object tracking via laptop.
