ZWO ASI6200MM Pro: The Monochrome Full-Frame Flagship

The ASI6200MM Pro is the flagship monochrome model: it features a full-frame Sony IMX455 sensor (36 x 24 mm) with 9576 x 6388 pixels (61 MP), native 16-bit readout, approximately 91% quantum efficiency, and complete freedom from glow, without a Bayer filter array. Each filter channel captures the full field of view and full resolution.

With Peltier cooling down to 35 degrees Celsius below ambient temperature and 3.76-micrometer pixels, this is the sensor that brings amateur work close to professional surveys: LRGB and the Hubble palette at 61 megapixels.

Top-level mono

Monoband channels profit maximally from mono: H-alpha, OIII, and SII land on the full sensor without interpolation. In combination with the 2-inch line filter set, you deliver SHO composites with a field and depth that color sensors cannot achieve.

The 16-bit dynamic range keeps both the core and the nebula edges within reach in the same exposure.

The complete train

For vignetting-free swaps on full-frame, the EFW 7x2 inch filter wheel is the partner: seven positions for LRGB plus narrowband. The tilt lens precisely flattens the sensor on the image circle; the 512 MB buffer memory keeps the 61 MP data stream stable.

The cooling requires a 12-volt power supply; guiding is controlled with the OAG-L on this sensor size.
