William Optics Polar wedge Lage SkyGuider Pro: de wig die je tracker verdient

De William Optics poolwig (lage breedtegraad) vervangt de standaardwig van de iOptron SkyGuider Pro door een aanzienlijk stijvere en fijner instelbare uitvoering. Je plaatst de wig tussen statief en tracker en stelt de poolhoogte in met precisie-verstelknoppen: millimeterwerk in plaats van worstelen.

De standaardwig volstaat voor groothoek, maar zodra je met telelenzen of een kleine telescoop werkt, bepaalt de wig de kwaliteit van je pooluitlijning en daarmee je maximale belichtingstijd. Deze uitvoering is de lage variant, gemaakt voor waarneemlocaties op lagere breedtegraden; voor Nederland en Belgie (rond 51 tot 53 graden) is de High Latitude-uitvoering doorgaans de logischere keuze.

Solidly built

The housing is made of robust aluminum, and the Vixen-style saddle securely holds the SkyGuider Pro. Fine adjustment remains smooth and backlash-free, even under load.
