If there is a thick tube, a large focus lens or a second viewfinder in the way, you will have difficulty looking through a Telrad that is low on the tube. With this Telrad height adjustment of 102 mm, the viewfinder will be positioned much higher above the tube, making it easier for you to see through it with your head.

The Telrad is attached to a foot that you fix onto the tube, and this base elevation is intended for that configuration. Especially on large Classic Dobsons With a wide tube you notice the difference in viewing position.

Before ordering, check the space on your telescope and how high you want the Telrad to be. If you’re unsure whether the elevation fits your setup, feel free to ask us. Secure everything properly so that the viewfinder doesn’t shift after alignment.

If you want less height, there is the Telrad elevation of 2 inches. If you use the Telrad on multiple telescopes, then a separate Telrad mounting foot useful.
