De DeLite 11 mm levert op de meeste telescopen een middenvergroting die zowel voor deep-sky als voor de Maan bruikbaar is. Het is een van de meest gekozen brandpuntsafstanden uit de serie.

De DeLite-serie is opgezet als een compacte variant op de Delos: hetzelfde principe van een lange oogafstand, maar met een beeldveld van 62 graden en een kleinere behuizing. Dat maakt de serie geschikt voor monteringen en binoviewers waar gewicht telt.

62 graden met een lange oogafstand

De DeLite-serie is ontworpen als een smaller Ethos-veld met meer ruimte achter het oculair. Door het beeldveld op 62 graden te houden, kon TeleVue de oogafstand op 20 mm brengen zonder dat het oculair onhandelbaar groot wordt.

For eyeglass wearers, that's the difference between seeing the full field of vision and missing a part of it. Even without glasses, you're looking more relaxed because your eye doesn't have to push against the lens.

Een oculair dat blijft zitten

Bij deze vergroting hoef je zelden te wisselen: objecten zijn groot genoeg voor detail en het beeldveld is ruim genoeg om het object comfortabel te volgen.

In combinatie met een Powermate breid je deze brandpuntsafstand uit naar 5,5 of 4,4 mm, zonder dat de oogafstand korter wordt.

Interpupillary distance and adjustable eyecup

The eyecup is steplessly adjustable in height and lockable in any position, with index markings so you can find a previously found position. This ensures your eye's pupil is always in the same position relative to the telescope's exit pupil.

That's more than comfort. A misplaced eye causes edge discoloration and shadows in the image. With a fixed, repeatable eye position, that problem is gone, even during long sessions.

In your telescope

In een telescoop met 1200 mm brandpuntsafstand levert dit oculair ongeveer 109x met een waar beeldveld van circa 0,57 graden. Voor je eigen telescoop reken je dat uit met de veldstop: waar beeldveld = 57,3 x veldstop gedeeld door de brandpuntsafstand van de telescoop.

De effectieve veldstop van dit model is 11,9 mm. Dat getal bepaalt hoeveel hemel je werkelijk ziet, niet de brandpuntsafstand alleen.
