TeleVue Delos 24mm : 72° Groothoek Oculair: Delos-oculair met 72 graden beeldveld

De Delos 24 mm is de nieuwste toevoeging aan de serie en de enige met een 2 inch steek. TeleVue toonde hem in april 2025 en leverde hem vanaf het najaar van dat jaar uit.

Het is ook het enige model met 22 mm oogafstand in plaats van 20 mm. Voor brildragers die het volledige veld willen zien, is dat de ruimste optie die TeleVue in deze serie biedt.

72 degrees with a long eye relief

De Delos-serie is ontworpen als een smaller Ethos-veld met meer ruimte achter het oculair. Door het beeldveld op 72 graden te houden, kon TeleVue de oogafstand op 22 mm brengen zonder dat het oculair onhandelbaar groot wordt.

For eyeglass wearers, that's the difference between seeing the full field of vision and missing a part of it. Even without glasses, you're looking more relaxed because your eye doesn't have to push against the lens.

Wat de 2 inch steek oplevert

Met een effectieve veldstop van 29,6 mm gaat dit oculair voorbij de grens van wat een 1,25 inch steek toelaat. Het ware beeldveld is daardoor merkbaar groter dan bij de 17,3 mm, bij een nog altijd bescheiden vergroting.

Het oculair is parfocaal met de meeste 1,25 inch TeleVue-oculairs wanneer die met de HiHat-verloopadapter worden gebruikt. Vanwege het formaat en het gewicht is dit model niet bedoeld voor gebruik in een binoviewer.

Interpupillary distance and adjustable eyecup

The eyecup is steplessly adjustable in height and lockable in any position, with index markings so you can find a previously found position. This ensures your eye's pupil is always in the same position relative to the telescope's exit pupil.

That's more than comfort. A misplaced eye causes edge discoloration and shadows in the image. With a fixed, repeatable eye position, that problem is gone, even during long sessions.

In your telescope

In een telescoop met 1200 mm brandpuntsafstand levert dit oculair ongeveer 50x met een waar beeldveld van circa 1,41 graden. Voor je eigen telescoop reken je dat uit met de veldstop: waar beeldveld = 57,3 x veldstop gedeeld door de brandpuntsafstand van de telescoop.

De effectieve veldstop van dit model is 29,6 mm. Dat getal bepaalt hoeveel hemel je werkelijk ziet, niet de brandpuntsafstand alleen.
