This RA motor keeps objects on your EQ-1 steady in the field of view by compensating for the Earth's rotation. The difference from the basic motor is the multi-speed hand controller: with it, you can choose 1x, 2x, or 4x speed for tracking or re-centering an object.

You attach the motor directly to the RA axis of the EQ-1 without any modifications. It is suitable for use in both the northern and southern hemispheres and keeps the weight of the setup low.
