This tripod is the base for the Sky-Watcher EQ8-R and EQ8-RH. The steel construction of 29.4 kg keeps a fully loaded setup with 50 kg of optics stable, even during long exposures.

Unlike with a conventional tripod, the space around the mounting remains free: long tubes rotate in every position without touching a tripod leg. The height is adjustable from 75 to 100 cm. For those who don’t want to build a fixed pillar, this is the mobile alternative with comparable rigidity. The CQ350 Pro head also fits this tripod.
