Sky-Watcher 90-degree erecting prism: corrected image in the astronomical viewing angle

This Amici prism combines the 90-degree viewing angle of a star diagonal with a fully corrected image: right-side up and not mirrored. This allows star charts and apps to match what you see immediately, and keeps the same diagonal usable for nature observation during the day.

For objects high in the sky, the 90-degree angle is the comfortable viewing position. The optics are fully coated; however, keep in mind that at very high magnification, the roof prism design sacrifices a fraction of contrast compared to a good star diagonal.
