A viewfinder often covers the sky first, and then suddenly you can no longer find anything in the sky. This Astrozap dew heater for your 8×50 viewfinder heats the lens a little, just enough to keep it above the dew point.

This keeps the image in your viewfinder clear while you are zooming in on objects. 8×50 binoculars are used on many telescopes; other models can be found at Seekers and red dot finders.

You need a power source for that, usually a dew controller like the two-channel controller from Astrozap. Check beforehand whether the plug fits your controller and whether the size matches your finder, because 8×50 finders vary slightly per brand in outer diameter.
