Omegon Push+ Mini Mount with Encoders: compact smart Dobsonian mount

The Push+ Mini is a compact rocker box with built-in digital encoders. Put a Newtonian OTA on it and you have a Dobsonian that knows where it is pointing, featuring the stability of a Dobsonian and navigation via your phone.

For which tubes

The mini rocker box is intended for telescopes up to 150 mm aperture and approximately 900 mm in length. Think of a Newtonian 114/900, 130/900, or 150/750. The GP dovetail clamp accommodates any optical tube with a Vixen dovetail.

See where you look

The digital encoders continuously transmit their position. In the app, you see a star chart with crosshairs that move along as you push. This allows you to aim purposefully rather than searching, which, especially with faint objects, makes the difference between finding and giving up.

Stability of a Dobson

A rocker box on Teflon pads moves smoothly and does not vibrate. You thus retain the pleasant viewing experience of a Dobsonian and get navigation added, without motors that can cause interference or require power.

What you need

Pay attention to compatibility: Push+ pairs via Bluetooth with Android devices and Windows computers. iPhone and iPad are not supported. The recommended app is SkySafari Plus 4 for Android, which must be purchased separately; the free version cannot control a telescope.
