Omegon MiniTrack LX3 Astrotracker Set with Ball Head: complete on one tripod

This set combines the MiniTrack LX3 with an optical polar finder and a ball head. This gives you everything that belongs between your tripod and your camera in a single purchase.

The MiniTrack works entirely mechanically: you wind it up like a kitchen timer, and it tracks the stars for up to an hour. No batteries, no cables, no firmware. On a cold night far from home, that's just one less thing that can break.

Why add a ball head

The tracker follows the stars, but does not point the camera. The ball head does that: with it, you point the camera at the part of the sky you want to photograph, without disturbing the alignment of the tracker. Without a ball head, you cannot use the tracker in a meaningful way.

Up to 3 kg

De CNC-gefreesde behuizing draagt camera’s tot 3 kg, ook met een lichte telelens. Het veersysteem vervangt een contragewicht, wat de opstelling compact houdt.

Sixty minutes per arousal

The Teflon sliding bearing keeps the movement smooth throughout the entire winding. For a series of exposures of a few minutes each, an hour is more than enough; after that, you wind again.
