Omegon MightyMak 90/1000 Maksutov: The top model, ready for immediate use

The Omegon MightyMak 90 with LED finder is the complete execution of the top model: 90 mm aperture and 1000 mm focal length (f/11.3), with an LED red dot finder already mounted. The largest aperture in the series, ready for use from the first moment of brightness.

The MightyMak is a Maksutov-Cassegrain: a closed tube with a coated meniscus lens at the front. Dust and moisture stay out, collimation is rarely needed, and the lens suppresses reflections for a high-contrast image.

Aim with both eyes open

With a 1000 mm focal length, a finder scope is indispensable. The red dot projects a small red dot onto the real sky: dot onto Saturn, look, done. Precisely the part you would purchase separately with the standard version.

Omegon MightyMak Maksutov with diagonal mirror and eyepiece

Shows 90 mm opening

Approximately 165 times more light than the naked eye. With the K 25mm eyepiece you view at 40x; with extra eyepieces, up to approximately 180x is usable. Fine lunar craters, Jupiter's cloud bands, Saturn's rings, and bright double stars are the domain of this tube.

Telephoto lens and spotting scope in one

Via the T2 thread with a buffer ring, you connect a camera and use the MightyMak as a super telephoto lens. During the day, with the zenith mirror, it's a fully functional spotting scope for birds and landscapes, with an upright image. The GP dovetail fits almost any astronomical mount, and three photo threads make any tripod usable. This way, the tube can later grow with a larger setup.
