Omegon Horizon AC 70/700 EQ-1 2.75″ Achromatic Refractor: learn to track with the complete Horizon package
The Omegon Horizon AC 70/700 EQ-1 Mount the proven 70/700 optics (f/10) on the EQ-1 Neo equatorial mount. Align it with Polaris once, and you can then track any object simply by turning a knob: the mount compensates for the rotation of the Earth. The complete Horizon accessory package is included, right down to the smartphone adapter and Bluetooth shutter release.
The Horizon accessory package is more complete than usual in this class: LED finder, 25 mm and 10 mm Plössl eyepieces, 2x Barlow lens, 90-degree Amici prism for an upright and laterally correct image, extension tube, smartphone adapter, and a Bluetooth shutter release for vibration-free photos.

Using a dial
Especially in smartphone photography, the equatorial mount is worth its weight in gold: your target stays in frame while you focus and shoot. The steel tripod dampens vibrations, and the Bluetooth button prevents touch vibrations.
With the Plössl eyepieces you view at 28x and 70x; with the 2x Barlow up to 140x, the practical maximum of this aperture.

An Omegon Premium 1.25-inch moon filter (19.90 euros) dims the bright moonlight. The Omegon Cronus 7 mm eyepiece (79 euros) provides a fixed 100x magnification for planets, which is comfortable to track thanks to the EQ mount.
Never look at the sun through a telescope without a certified solar filter: this will cause permanent eye damage within a second.
For whom yes, for whom no
Good for: beginners who want to learn to track like an astronomer and still want the complete modern package. Not for: those who want to keep things as simple as possible; the Horizon AC 70/700 on AZ-Bellavista is the same scope without the alignment step. Compare entry-level models via the Choice assistant.
