Omegon Dual Dovetail Clamp for Losmandy and Vixen: both profiles in one clamp

This 20 cm wide prism clamp accommodates both Vixen and Losmandy dovetails. This means you are not tied to a single profile, which can be useful once your setup grows or if you purchase a second-hand instrument that uses the other profile.

Surface clamping

The clamp grips flat instead of using a point screw. This secures your telescope firmly without damaging the dovetail, and the force is distributed over a larger surface area. With heavy instruments, that is the difference between staying secure and slowly sagging.

Where you mount it

The clamp is intended for mounting on the head of the mount, on the counterweight side, or as a second clamp in a dual setup. Slotted holes provide play during positioning.

Future-proof

Anyone who starts small with Vixen and later moves to a heavier telescope on Losmandy does not need to invest again with this clamp. The adapter plate makes both standards usable on the same mount.
