iOptron SkyHunter Pier-Extension: Half column for your SkyHunter

The iOptron SkyHunter Pier Extension raises your SkyHunter mount 190 mm higher on your tripod. This extra height gives your telescope clearance around the tripod legs, which is especially important when observing near the zenith.

The aluminum half-column screws with the standard 3/8 inch thread between the tripod and mount, adding hardly any weight to the setup.

Clear view of the zenith

Without a riser, a telescope can collide with the tripod legs at steep viewing angles. With the half-column, the tube rotates freely in any direction.

Refractor users also benefit: the eyepiece is positioned higher, allowing for a more natural viewing posture.
