iOptron Adapter iAFS2 / GSO Newton 2″: telescope adapter for the iAFS2

With this aluminum adapter you can mount the iOptron iAFS2 automatic focuser on GSO 6″ and 8″ Newtonians with a 2″ focuser connection. The adapter forms the rigid, backlash-free transition between telescope and focuser.

A rigid coupling is essential for an autofocusser: any play translates into focus shift as soon as the tube changes position.

Light, stiff and ready to mount

Aluminum is lightweight and dimensionally stable: the adapter adds virtually no weight to the rear of the tube and keeps the focuser perfectly aligned with the optical axis. Installation is simply screwing it on; no modifications to the telescope are necessary.
