iOptron 462C Camera iCam: fast color camera with IMX462
The iCam 462C is a compact color camera built around the Sony IMX462 sensor: 2.1 megapixels on 1/2.8 inch with 2.9 µm pixels. The sensor is known for its high low-light sensitivity and directly delivers color images of the Moon, planets, and double stars.
Via USB 3.0, the camera achieves up to 136 frames per second at full resolution: ideal for freezing short moments of steady seeing and stacking.

Strong in the near-infrared
Sensitivity peaks between 800 and 850 nm. With an IR pass filter you photograph planets in the infrared, where the atmosphere appears calmer; with a CH4 filter even in the methane band.
Read noise drops to approximately 0.7e; HCG automatically engages above gain 80 and DPS suppresses dead pixels via dark frames.

In addition to USB 3.0, the 462C features an ST-4 port. This allows you to optionally use it as a sensitive guiding camera on a guide scope or off-axis guider.
