Specially curated for lovers of the Moon

The Celestron AstroMaster 70AZ Moon Edition is the lunar version of the popular AstroMaster 70AZ. The 70 mm lens with a 900 mm focal length (f/12.9) is precisely the type of optics that the Moon requires: high contrast and easily high magnification. Craters, seas, rills, and shadows come into sharp focus up to about 140x, and the included moon filter keeps that image comfortable.

The AstroMaster 70AZ Moon Edition on the steel tripod

Maanfilter included directly

Through a telescope, the full moon is surprisingly bright. The included moon filter dims the light, increases contrast, and allows you to view comfortably for longer. This way, you can see terminator details and crater rims at their best, night after night, because the Moon is the only object that completely changes every single month.

The eyepieces of the AstroMaster 70AZ Moon Edition

Also for planets and during the day

The 20 mm and 10 mm eyepieces provide 45x and 90x: besides the Moon, the rings of Saturn and the moons of Jupiter are also regular targets. The 90-degree Amici prism produces an upright image, so the telescope also works for daytime nature observation. The altazimuth mount with pan handle points intuitively, ideal for the whole family.
