Slimmer, more stable, and completely wireless
The Celestron NexStar Evolution is the modern generation of GoTo telescopes. Built-in WiFi, an internal lithium iron phosphate battery for up to 10 hours of observation, and professional Schmidt-Cassegrain optics: you operate the system entirely from your smartphone or tablet with the SkyPortal app. Tap an object and the telescope automatically slews to it. Choose between the 6 and 8 inch models above; we sell the 9.25 inch as a separate top model.

Internal battery: no cables, no power tank
The integrated LiFePO4 battery provides up to 10 hours of continuous tracking. A USB output even charges your smartphone or camera on the go. Together with the reinforced fork arm and the precision brass worm gears, the Evolution tracks celestial objects smoothly and with minimal vibration, even at high magnifications.

Three ways of governing
Via the SkyPortal app on your smartphone or tablet with WiFi: tap and look. Via the included NexStar+ hand controller with over 40,000 objects from the Messier, NGC, and Caldwell catalogs. Or via the free CPWI software on your laptop, with multi-point alignment for maximum GoTo accuracy. Each method works fully; you choose what feels comfortable each evening.

Built for years of comfort
Sturdy handles, a steel tripod with 2-inch legs, illuminated reticle, and two accessory trays for eyepieces and filters. The fork arm offers space to mount a DSLR or planetary camera without it hitting the base. You can further expand the system later with StarSense AutoAlign or the SkySync GPS module.

Two eyepieces included
The 40mm and 13mm eyepieces together cover the complete working field: wide deep-sky images at low magnification and detailed work on the Moon and planets at high magnification. The StarBright XLT coating keeps light transmission at a maximum, for a bright image with high contrast.
