The Celestron Inspire 100AZ is the fast top-tier model of the Inspire line. The 100 mm lens with a short focal length of 660 mm provides a wide field of view: the Orion Nebula, the Pleiades, or the Andromeda Galaxy fit entirely within it. Without a secondary mirror in the light path, all collected light goes directly to your eye, more than 200 times as much as with the naked eye.

Het stalen statief heeft een verlichte accessoirehouder; het rode lampje neem je los als zaklampje. De red dot zoeker projecteert twee cirkels zodat heldere objecten zichtbaar blijven tijdens het richten. De stofkap bevat een ingebouwde smartphone-adapter voor je eerste astrofoto’s, en de focuser heeft een schaalverdeling voor herhaalbaar scherpstellen. De oculairs van 20 mm en 10 mm leveren 33x en 66x.
Honest advice: where this design excels
The short focal length is made for wide sky fields, star clusters, and comets, and with the upright image also for daytime nature observation. At high magnification on bright planets, a short achromat shows some chromatic aberration; those who are mainly looking for sharp planetary and lunar detail are better off choosing a model with a longer focal length such as the AstroMaster 90 CG-3. Realistically usable is up to about 200x.
