If you’re looking for a single viewer for sunrise in the field and for the starry sky in the evening, you’ll quickly come across a 10×50. The Bushnell Engage EDX 10×50 combines ten times magnification with lenses of 50 mm, which capture a lot of light.

With a protrusion of 5 mm (50 divided by 10), he ranks among our astronomy binoculars. You can see craters on the moon, the four large moons of Jupiter and many more stars in the Milky Way.

A 10×50 is perfectly usable handheld, but for longer sessions a tripod or support is recommended, if your viewer has a tripod connection. Watch Jupiter for a few nights in a row, and you’ll see the moons change position. You can read more about that here. our guide about Jupiter.

If you want more detail, there is the Engage EDX with 12x magnification. Helps against smudged lenses on wet nights binoculars straps up to 50 mm.
