Bob's Knobs Collimation Springs for Newtonian: Collimation That Stays Put
These stainless steel springs replace the often too weak original springs in the primary mirror cell of Newtonians with an 8, 10, or 12-inch mirror. Due to the higher spring tension, the primary mirror remains exactly in place, ensuring that collimation is maintained even after transport and temperature fluctuations.
Bob's Knobs replaces the original screws with stainless steel thumb screws with knurled grips. This allows you to collimate entirely by hand: no screwdriver over the optics, no rolling away Allen keys in the dark, and full control even with gloves on.
