iOptron 8408 Go2Nova Hand Controller: Go2Nova hand controller for compact mounts

The Go2Nova 8408 is the hand controller for iOptron's compact GoTo mounts. The 4-line, 21-character LCD screen and backlit keys make operation clear, even in the dark.

The database contains over 50,000 objects, including well-known planets, star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies. Select an object and the mount will point itself.

Controls and connections

You control the mount with 9 speeds, from fine tracking to fast slewing. The serial port is used for firmware updates and for computer control via ASCOM and planetarium software.

The hand controller is powered via the HBX port of the mount; separate batteries are not required.

Compatibility

The 8408 works in two groups, each with its own firmware: the ZEQ25/SmartEQ/SmartEQ Pro and the CEM25/CEM25EC/CEM25P. On the SkyGuider Pro, it works with limited functions. Before use, download the appropriate firmware from the iOptron website.
