At high magnification and when photographing, you quickly notice whether your focuser is fine enough. With this focus ring adapter for the TMB-Vixen connection, you can attach a 2-inch focus ring from Starlight Instruments to your telescope. This allows you to replace the existing focus ring with a Feather Touch, which is known for its smooth movement.
Because the connection name refers to both TMB and Vixen, first check that your tube has exactly this connection. Measure the diameter and the screw thread of the existing focus lens and compare them. For Vixen telescopes there is also a longer focus adapter for Vixen.
After assembly, keep in mind a slightly different focus point, especially if you are working with a flat-plate lens or a camera with a close distance to the sensor. If you are just starting to shoot, be sure to read our tips for shooting stars.
