ZWO ASI 174MM Mini: the premium guider with the large field of view

The ASI174MM Mini is the guiding camera for anyone who never wants to search for a guide star again. With 1936 x 1216 pixels of 5.86 micrometers, the Sony IMX174 sensor is by far the largest in the Mini line. That large sensor field is exactly what off-axis guiding needs: even through the narrow prism of an OAG, there is almost always a usable star in the frame.

With a quantum efficiency of 77%, low noise, and the familiar Mini format (60 grams, 1.25-inch housing), this camera combines sensitivity with ease of use. In addition to guiding, it is ideal for lunar and planetary imaging.

Made for off-axis guiding

For long brand point distances, such as those found in SC and RC telescopes, an off-axis guider is the most reliable guiding method. The limited field of view of an OAG requires a large, sensitive sensor—which is exactly where the IMX174 excels.

The large 5.86-micrometer pixels capture a lot of light per pixel, so that even faint guide stars can be used. The ST-4 port and USB 2.0 connection work with virtually any mount and guiding software.

More than just guiding

The clear glass window is infrared transparent, making the camera also suitable for infrared imaging of the Moon and planets in combination with an IR-pass filter.

With a back focus of 8.5 mm and the standard 1.25-inch mount, the camera fits into any off-axis guider, guide scope, or focuser.
