Focusing at high magnification with a large telescope with a long focal length is a precise task. With this tube adapter you can attach a 3 inch Feather Touch focuser from Starlight Instruments to your Meade 14 inch telescope, allowing you to fine-tune the focus with the focuser with ease. The adapter has an external thread of 83 mm.
The adapter forms the connection between the rear of the telescope and the focus ring. Meade has developed several 14-inch adapters over the years. catadioptric telescopes made, so check the threaded hole on the back of your copy first.
Keep in mind that an extra focus light will move the focus point further outwards. It helps on wet nights. a dew ring for 14 and 16 inch wheels to keep the corrector plate dry.
If you would rather continue focusing via the main mirror, there is a fine-focus lens for the same Meade.
