The TeleVue Powermate 2x 2" is an advanced magnification lens that increases the effective focal length of your telescope by a factor 2x prolongs. Unlike a classic Barlow lens, the Powermate works with an optical system that passes the light beam parallel to the eyepiece or camera. This keeps the image quality optimal – both visually and photographically.

Thanks to the 2" opening This Powermate is particularly well-suited for wide-angle eyepieces and fast telescopes.

Four elements for maximum image correction

The Powermate is constructed from 4 lens elements in a combination of negative and positive working groups. This design ensures an excellently corrected image with high edge sharpness in virtually all optical systems.

Because the light beam remains parallel, the eye relief does not change with eyepieces of longer focal length. This prevents vignetting and maintains viewing comfort. This also results in an evenly illuminated and high-contrast image in photography.

The parallel beam path also makes this Powermate very suitable for use with H-alpha systems.

Flexible deployment for visual and photography

The robust housing is made of aluminum and has a 2" fitting with an integrated 1.25" reduction adapter with spring ring clamp. This allows you to both 2″ as 1.25″ eyepieces use.

The Powermate has a 2" filter thread for standard 2" filters. Additionally, the 2" Powermate can be separated, so you have an optional T-ring can be used for direct connection with a camera for astrophotography.

With a weight of 544 grams is this a solid and stable addition to your optical train.
