The In-Travel adapter places a 1.25-inch eyepiece deeper into the focuser. That is precisely what a Paracorr Type 2 setup needs: this way, the 17.3 and 14 mm Delos remain parfocal with most 1.25-inch TeleVue eyepieces on the reducing Paracorr adapter.

For Dobson observers with a Paracorr, this is the detail that keeps swapping in the dark simple: it saves refocusing every time.

Four adapters, four heights

TeleVue consciously makes multiple 2 to 1.25 inch adapters, each with a different build height. The height determines where the focal plane of a 1.25 inch eyepiece will end up, and therefore whether it remains parfocal with your 2 inch eyepieces or with a Paracorr setup.

Choose the adapter for your situation: the HiHat for parfocality with 2-inch TeleVue eyepieces, the In-Travel for Paracorr setups, the Flat-top for minimal build height, and the Equalizer when it comes to balance.
