TeleVue 4 inch : Ring: clamshell mounting ring for 4 inch tubes

This clamshell tube ring is made for 102 mm diameter tubes: the TeleVue TV-101 and TV-102, and any other tube with this exact size.

Full enclosure with felt lining, quick-release fastener, and the freedom to slide the tube for balance.

Why a clamshell

A clamshell ring encloses the tube over its full circumference with a felt lining: the clamping force is distributed, the paint remains undamaged, and the tube can slide in the ring to adjust the balance.

The quick-release makes it possible to open the ring without tools, so that the tube detaches from the mount in seconds for transport.
