De Delos 12 mm zit tussen de 10 en de 14 mm en is bedoeld voor waarnemers die hun set fijner willen indelen. Op een telescoop met een lange brandpuntsafstand valt deze stap vaak precies goed voor sterrenstelsels en grotere bolhopen.

Net als de rest van de serie houdt hij 72 graden beeldveld en 20 mm oogafstand aan, met een vergrendelbare oogschelp.

72 degrees with a long eye relief

The Delos series is designed as a narrower Ethos field of view with more space behind the eyepiece. By keeping the field of view at 72 degrees, TeleVue was able to bring the eye relief to 20mm without the eyepiece becoming unmanageably large.

For eyeglass wearers, that's the difference between seeing the full field of vision and missing a part of it. Even without glasses, you're looking more relaxed because your eye doesn't have to push against the lens.

Een fijnere stap in je set

Wie met 8 en 14 mm werkt, merkt dat de sprong tussen die twee groot is. De 12 mm vult dat gat en maakt het mogelijk de vergroting aan te passen aan het seeing van de avond.

Bij een telescoop met 1500 mm brandpuntsafstand levert dit oculair 125x, een vergroting waar veel deep-sky objecten hun beste beeld geven.

Interpupillary distance and adjustable eyecup

The eyecup is steplessly adjustable in height and lockable in any position, with index markings so you can find a previously found position. This ensures your eye's pupil is always in the same position relative to the telescope's exit pupil.

That's more than comfort. A misplaced eye causes edge discoloration and shadows in the image. With a fixed, repeatable eye position, that problem is gone, even during long sessions.

In your telescope

In een telescoop met 1200 mm brandpuntsafstand levert dit oculair ongeveer 100x met een waar beeldveld van circa 0,72 graden. Voor je eigen telescoop reken je dat uit met de veldstop: waar beeldveld = 57,3 x veldstop gedeeld door de brandpuntsafstand van de telescoop.

De effectieve veldstop van dit model is 15,1 mm. Dat getal bepaalt hoeveel hemel je werkelijk ziet, niet de brandpuntsafstand alleen.
