Counterweights are heavy and hard. If they are loose in the car or in a box, they easily damage your other belongings and get scratched themselves. A padded bag for counterweights keeps them together and makes them easier to carry. This bag from Oklop is designed for two weights of 5 kg each.

The diameter and thickness of counterweights vary per brand and mount. For example, if you have the white counterweight of 5.1 kg For an EQ5, HEQ5 or EQ6, first check whether it fits in the bag. When transporting it, place the bag at the bottom of the car and set it so that it cannot shift. This will also keep your telescope and accessories in place.
