Sky-Watcher 1.25 inch O-III Filter: the specialist filter for planetary nebulae
The O-III filter only allows the light of doubly ionized oxygen (496 and 501 nm), exactly the lines in which planetary nebulae and supernova remnants shine. All other light is blocked: the background becomes deep black and the nebula stands out.

The Ring Nebula, Halternevel, and especially the Sluiernevel show detail with O-III that is unattainable without a filter. The filter is most effective on telescopes with apertures of about 150 to 200 mm; at smaller apertures the image becomes too dark.
Features
- Line filter: transmits only 496 and 501 nm
- Maximum contrast on planetary nebulae and supernova remnants
- Multi-coated, aluminum mount
Compatibility
Screws into the filter thread of 1.25 inch eyepieces and accessories. Usable for visual and photographic purposes.
