Sky-Watcher WAVE-100i with carbon tripod: the complete strainwave set under 7 kg

This set combines the WAVE-100i strainwave mount with the matching WAVE Carbon tripod. The harmonic drive carries up to 10 kg without requiring a counterweight, with a head weight of 4.3 kg. The carbon tripod adds only 2.4 kg while remaining torsionally rigid: together, a complete GoTo base of under 7 kg.

You use the mount in equatorial or Alt-AZ mode. The dual-fit mounting saddle accepts Vixen and Losmandy bars. You operate it via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth with the SynScan Pro app, which can also be linked to Stellarium and PC software. GoTo, autoguiding, and PEC are supported, and the RA brake holds the axis when the power is off.
