Sky-Watcher SolarQuest with Tripod: Sun Observation Without Searching
This complete set makes sun observation easy and comfortable. You set up the SolarQuest on its tripod, place your solar telescope, and press the button. Thanks to HelioFind, the mount with GPS and time accurately calculates where the sun is, automatically slews to it, and precisely tracks the sun while you observe. Ideal for sunspots, prominences (with an H-alpha telescope), and planetary transits.

Important: Use the SolarQuest exclusively with a solar telescope or with a telescope equipped with a certified solar filter on the front. The mount supports up to 4 kg, moves silently, and operates on eight AA batteries: no cables, so it's quick to set up in the garden or on location.
Included
- SolarQuest mounting head with HelioFind and GPS
- Vixen-style dovetail clamp
- Aluminum tripod with accessory holder
Featured accessories
A suitable solar telescope or a certified solar filter for your own telescope is mandatory for safe observation.
For whom yes, for whom no
Suitable for: Sun observers and schools or observatories that allow public viewing during the day without constant adjustment. Not suitable for: Nighttime use; a regular GoTo mount like the AZ-GTi is intended for this.
