Sky-Watcher 1.25 inch UHC Filter: Nebulae contrast where a broadband filter stops

The UHC (Ultra High Contrast) filter primarily allows wavelengths in which emission nebulae radiate through and blocks most interfering artificial light. The sky becomes darker, and nebulae reveal structures that remain invisible without the filter.

Skywatcher UHC 1 1.25-inch UHC nebula filter in black aluminum mount with blue-green glass.

Skywatcher UHC 1 transmission curve graph with narrow passband around nebula lines and suppressed light pollution.

Objects like the Orion Nebula, Lagoon Nebula, and Swan Nebula gain visible structure and size. The next step up from the Light Pollution filter for those specifically observing nebulae.
