Serious planetary photography with a monochrome camera requires separate color channels. This set delivers everything at once: a UV/IR blocking filter, three color filters (red, green, and blue), and an IR685 infrared filter. Together, they cover the visible spectrum and near-infrared.

With the red, green, and blue filters, you photograph individual channels that you combine into a natural-looking color image. The UV/IR-blocking filter serves as a luminance and protective filter.

The IR685 filter as a secret weapon

The IR685 filter allows only infrared light from 685 nm to pass through. Infrared light is much less affected by atmospheric turbulence than visible light, allowing you to capture sharp details even with moderate seeing conditions. This filter makes a significant difference, especially when planets are low in the sky.

Attuned to the planets

Each channel has its strengths: red and infrared show detail on Mars and Jupiter in turbulent skies, blue highlights the cloud structure of Venus, and green complements the color image. This way, you get the most out of each planet.

Solid execution

The filters are housed in thin 1.25-inch metal housings with laser engraving and fit into any standard filter wheel. Multi-layer antireflection coatings keep reflections and halos low.
