The L-Pro is Optolong's most refined broadband filter. With multiple precisely placed passbands, it blocks the emission lines of mercury and sodium lamps and natural airglow, while maintaining a near-neutral color balance. This makes the L-Pro the light pollution filter that is also suitable for galaxies, star clusters, and reflection nebulae: objects that lose their color with more aggressive filters.

As a clip filter, it sits directly in front of the sensor in the camera body. Every lens and telescope adapter remains usable, and the filter simultaneously protects against dust.
