Omegon Pro Powerbank 48k LiFePO4 154Wh 12V: a night of power in one and a half kilos
Whoever carries their setup to a dark location counts every kilo. This power bank delivers 154 Wh, enough for a mount plus camera during a long night, with a weight of 1.5 kg. A classic power tank with the same capacity weighs four to six times as much.
LiFePO4 cells are the reason this power bank is so light for its capacity. Lithium iron phosphate delivers a stable 12 V until the battery is virtually empty, withstands thousands of charge cycles, and is the thermally safest lithium chemistry available.
Stable 12V down to the last percent
The output voltage remains at 12 V regardless of the load and battery level. Mounts are sensitive to this: when the voltage drops, GoTo systems start to malfunction long before the battery is empty. That is not an issue here.
The maximum current of 13 A provides enough capacity for a mount, cooled camera, and dew heater simultaneously.
Connections
The 12 V is available via a cigarette lighter output, so standard mounting cables fit directly. In addition, there is USB for a phone or accessories.
Charging is done via the included power adapter on the 5.5 x 2.1 mm input, which accepts 12 to 24 V.
Secure
Protection against short circuit, overcharging, deep discharge, and overload is built-in, featuring an LED indicator for the charging status. This way, the battery can even survive being left on the charger overnight.
