Designed for Newton telescopes with a 3″ focuser, Omegon Pro Coma Corrector 3″ 0.85x corrects coma to the edge of the field of view. Stars that are normally comet-shaped distortions appear as sharp, point-shaped stars thanks to this corrector - ideal for wide-angle astrophotography and sensors up to full-frame size.
In addition to field correction, the corrector shortens the focal length by a factor of 0.85. This produces a brighter image and reduces the exposure time required, allowing you to capture more detail in shorter sessions. The optics consist of a carefully designed quadruplet lens system with full multicoating for maximum transmission and contrast.
The corrector has an exposure diameter of 44 mm, making it suitable for full-frame cameras. The back focus is 55 mm, which matches most DSLRs and astro cameras in combination with a T-ring or adapter. Multiple threaded connections are provided for maximum flexibility: M76 × 1 (external), M68 × 1 (internal) and M54 × 0.75 (internal).
Application
Suitable for Newton telescopes with an aperture ratio of f/3 to f/6 and a 3″ focuser. Ideal for astrophotographers who work with full-frame sensors and want to fully correct coma in their images, combined with shorter focal length and higher brightness.
