Omegon Powertank 7Ah (84Wh): The Classic Field Battery for a GoTo Mount

A GoTo mount without an internal battery needs a power source in the field, and the cigarette lighter cable that comes with it reveals what for: a powertank. This 7 Ah version powers a medium-sized mount for a full night of observation.

In addition to power, it provides light. The built-in red light lamp is the most useful for this: red light keeps your night vision intact while you change eyepieces or read a map.

Connections for the entire setup

Two 12V cigarette lighter outputs and two USB ports. Mount the dew heater controller on one 12V output, and the phone on the USB.

Via banana connectors, 3, 6, or 9 V is also available for other equipment. The output is stabilized so that the voltage does not drop with the battery status.

Secure and readable

Charge indicator, short-circuit protection, and overload protection are built-in. This way, you can see before departure if the tank is full, and it will survive a incorrectly connected cable.
